What is Biosphere 2 Center ?

Biosphere 2 Center is a non-profit education and research

affiliate of Columbia University. Through scientific and

educational excellence, the mission of the Biosphere 2

Center is:

To serve as a center for teaching, learning, and research about Earth and its

systems;

To catalyze interdisciplinary thinking and understanding about Earth and its

future;

To be a key center for Earth education and for outreach industry,

government and the general public;

To focus public attention on the issues related to Earth systems

planning and management.
